Reasons to use a Vitamin Plan

Timing is everything

Many supplements are dependent on being taken at the right time, or with the right meal, in order to unleash their full benefits. Good examples of this would be taking fat-soluble vitamins, such as vitamin D, together with a high-fat meal, and to avoid taking any stimulating supplements, such as rhodiola or ginseng, late in the day.

The perfect match

Some supplements have been found to compliment eachother when taken together, contributing towards eachother's absorption, function and benefits. Some well known combos are vitamin D3, vitamin K2 and magnesium, or quercetin and bromelain, but there are many others.

Incompatibilities

Likewise, some supplements can compete for absorption or react negatively when taken together. For example, calcium and magnesium have been found to compete for absorption, so you would need to take them at different times in order to maximize absorption and get the most benefits from both.

Potential additions

The Vitamin Plan will automatically detect if there is a recurring theme in the supplements that you are taking, and suggest potential additions that could benefit you even further. For example, if your plan seems to be mostly centered around joint health, it may suggest adding glucosamine or collagen if you didn't add them yet.
